Privacy

Privacy policy.

What Lady Liberty collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have — in plain language. The short version: we collect what it takes to give you an account and answer your questions. Your information is never sold and never used to advertise to you.

What we collect

  • Account information. When you create an account, we store your email address and an encrypted password credential, handled by our authentication provider — your password is never visible to us in plain text. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive the basic profile those services make available to apps: your name, email address, and profile picture. We also send the account email you would expect: confirmation, welcome, and password-reset messages.
  • Profile details you choose to share. Your display name, your home state, and the account category you pick (for example, student, teacher, or regular). All of it is optional, and you can change or clear it from your dashboard at any time.
  • Your invitation email. If you ask for an invite from the landing page, we keep the email address you entered so we can write to you when the desk opens — nothing else, and only for that purpose.
  • Questions you ask her. Your questions are processed to find and write your answers. If you are not signed in, a conversation lives only in your browser tab — refresh the page and it is gone. If you use Lady Liberty while signed in, conversations may be kept with your account so you can return to them; you can ask us to delete them at any time.
  • Basic technical data. Like most services, our hosting and database providers keep standard technical logs — IP address, browser type, and timestamps — to run the site and protect it from abuse.

How we use it

  • To provide the service — answering your questions, keeping you signed in, and carrying your settings.
  • To make answers useful to you — your home state leads relevant answers, and your category shapes how she explains things.
  • To run your account — confirmation, welcome, password-reset, and similar service messages.
  • To protect Lady Liberty and its users — abuse prevention and security.
  • To understand how the service is doing, in aggregate — never to build advertising profiles.

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to target ads anywhere.

Signing in with Google or GitHub

When you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive only the basic profile information those services share — typically your name, email address, and profile picture — and only to create and secure your account and address you in the product. Lady Liberty’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In plain terms: Google user data is used only to provide and improve the sign-in and account experience you see here — never for advertising, and never sold.

When we share information

We share personal information only with the service providers that make Lady Liberty work, and only as needed for them to do their job: Supabase (accounts and database), Vercel (website hosting), Cloudflare (domain and email routing), Resend (service email delivery). Google and GitHub receive your information only when you choose to sign in with them. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

Cookies and browser storage

We do not run advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Signing in and small preferences — like whether her voice is on, or which example questions you have seen — use your browser’s own storage on your device. Clearing your browser data signs you out and resets those preferences.

Keeping it safe, and how long we keep it

We keep account information for as long as your account is open; delete your account and we remove its personal data. Access is restricted so one account can never read another’s. No system can promise perfect security, but we work to keep ours tight — and if something ever goes wrong, we will say so and fix it.

Your choices

  • See and update your profile any time from your dashboard.
  • Ask us to remove you from the invitation list, and we will.
  • Want a copy of your data, or want it all deleted? Email feedback@ladyliberty.ai and we will take care of it.

Children

Consumer accounts are for ages 13 and up. Younger students use Lady Liberty through a school or institution program, where the school manages accounts for its students.
