Terms
Terms of service.
The agreement between you and Lady Liberty. Written to be read, not to be skimmed past — the short version: use her fairly, know what you are paying for, and understand that she informs rather than advises.
What Lady Liberty is
Lady Liberty is an educational information service. She finds official government sources and explains them in plain language, and she offers study courses for the citizenship tests of several countries. She is not a law firm, not an immigration adviser, and not a government agency. Nothing here is legal, immigration, medical, or tax advice, and nothing here creates a professional relationship of any kind. Decisions about your immigration status belong with you and, where you need it, a licensed professional or the government body concerned.
Not affiliated with any government
Lady Liberty is independent. She is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to USCIS, the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of State, or any other government body in any country. Where she reproduces or links to official material, she does so as a matter of public information.
Your account
- You must be 13 or older to hold a consumer account. Younger students use Lady Liberty through a school or institution programme, where the school manages the accounts.
- Give accurate information and keep your credentials to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You can close your account at any time, and you can ask us to delete your data — see the privacy policy.
Using Lady Liberty fairly
- Do not use the service to break the law, to harass anyone, or to pass off her answers as professional advice.
- Do not scrape, bulk-download, resell, or redistribute the courses, or attempt to bypass the rate limits. Access is for you, personally.
- Do not use her to misrepresent your identity, your eligibility, or your situation to any government body.
If an account is used this way, we may suspend or close it.
Content, and what is ours
The questions and study materials of official citizenship tests are published by the governments that set them, and we point you to those official sources. Our own course structure, explanations, practice questions, translations, and software are ours. You may study from them and print them for your own use; you may not republish or sell them.
No guarantee of results
Lady Liberty is a study aid. She cannot promise that you will pass any examination, be granted any status, or be approved for any application. Citizenship decisions are made by governments on facts we do not see and cannot assess. Study materials describe the rules as they stood when we read the official source — rules, fees, forms, and processing times change, and the official source is always the authority. Check anything critical with the relevant government body before you rely on it.
Availability
We work to keep the service up and accurate, but it is provided "as is" and we cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Answers may be incomplete or, despite our care, wrong. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Lady Liberty is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing here limits your statutory consumer rights.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date below changes with it — no silent edits. Continuing to use Lady Liberty after a change means you accept the new terms; if you do not, you can close your account.
